Spare Engine Support

LTAI owns and manages a pool of spare engines on behalf of the LHT Group of companies. This pool consists of the following engine types:  CFM56-3 CFM56-7 CF6-80C2 CFM56-5 These spare engines are also made available to LTAI’s contracted customers at preferential lease rates in case they cannot meet spare engine commitments from their own or other resources.  ___________________________________________________________  There are various mechanisms that operators / customers can avail of lease engines at LTAI. These include:    Short-term leasing Medium-term leasing Long-term leasing Pooling Sales & lease-back  LTAI has expanded its services in the area of engine maintenance to include the leasing of spare engines. Initially it will be available for specific engine models only, as described above. Many airlines in today’s market no longer wish to own spare engines. They prefer to use their capital for core business rather than tying it up by investing in spare engines.
